Wedding Hairstyles and
Makeup Artists
Amongst the many different things you need to prepare for
your wedding day, it is important that
you scout out reputable, experienced,
and professional hair stylists
and makeup artists (who have proven
wedding hairstyle experience) prior to
the big day.
When choosing your hair
stylist, you should have some idea of
what you want in the way of styles, so
it is also important to do some basic
research into the different styles and
terms associated with them. Will
you wear your hair up, or down? Do
you prefer braids, curls, or straighten
and pulled back?
Your potential stylists
will have some idea of the type of
hairdos
that are popular wit h brides who have
similar hair length and color as you, so
make sure to meet with them prior to booking
well in advance and lock down the hairstyle
you desire. They should also have
a portfolio of some of the hair styles
they have done and not just a book of
styles taken from magazines only.
Don't scrimp on your looks.
It may be tempting to opt for a student
stylist, an up-and-coming stylist, or
even a friend or relative, but it not a
good idea. This is one of the
biggest days of your life, and if you
are paying big bucks for everything
else, your hair and make-up should not
be scrimped on--save money by serving
chicken instead of beef if money is
scarce ;-)
As for make-up artists--this is more of
a luxury than the hair stylist.
Maybe your sister, aunt, or bridesmaid
always has exceptional make-up, so you
might enlist their help. But, if
you can budget it in, hiring a pro is
always a better bet. Everyone else
will be so busy that they might hurry
the job--unlike a professional makeup
artist whose reputation is on line with
every job.
